Nike McFly-Hype Is Real?

A link to these pictures came across my Twitter feed last night and if the invite pic is doctored or faked in some way I definitely cannot tell. The hype about Nike releasing a silhouette based on the inspirational pair that Michael J. Fox wore in Back to the Future II (see above fig. 3-this, btw, is a still from the film, not a spy photo of Tinker Hatfield jumping out of his DeLorean) has been building for soooooo long, this isn’t exactly a surprise, but certainly there are some who thought this day might never come. Of course, Nike has let the colorway and design elements of the movie shoe find it’s way onto a few models, but a ‘new’ design straight up based on the McFly-well, I guess we wait to find out tonight (check the date on that invite). As Marty McFly might say: heavy.
